After a decade of working a desk and serving as an HR manager, Jeff became an attorney specializing in the search/placement industry. For over 35 years, he has served the industry exclusively and holds four certifications in placement.

Jeff’s law practice focuses on reviewing and writing retained search agreements, developing fee schedules, collecting placement fees, prosecuting trade secrets cases, drafting employment agreements, consulting on equal employment matters, and representing recruiters in all matter of legal issues. Jeff is the author of The Allen Law, the only industry-specific trade secrets statute in the country. His clients span individuals to multinational corporations in every area of recruiting and his name is synonymous with competent legal representation.

Jeff is a prolific writer and author of 24 books in the career field which include, The Placement Strategy Handbook, Placement Management, The National Placement Law Center Fee Collection Guide, and the two-volume Best of Jeff Allen.

Her passion for the hunt has led ExecuQuest, and its valued clients, to top-notch hiring through 25 years of challenging labor and financial market conditions. The ExecuQuest team excels in identifying qualified prospects and successful placements, even in highly specialized fields, using sophisticated research methodologies and technical expertise.

Previously with Heidrick & Struggles, Conni speaks on strategic search/research solutions, time versus yield measurements, ethical identification of passive talent, the reeling-in of reluctant, qualified talent, adding value to the business via a consultative approach, and improving recruiter/sourcer performance at annual corporate recruiting summits and other professional gatherings. Also for the first time at NAER, and presenting a hands on training about Twitter—what is it, how to use it, and why it matters. Ann Marie is a leader within the academy in the training and strategic use of Twitter as a communication mechanism for students and institutions. Most recently having conducted a Twitter training at the national Women’s Leadership Institute you may follow Ann Marie at @annmarieklotz.

Ann Marie Klotz is employed at DePaul University where she currently serves as the Assistant Director for Residential Education. She earned her B.A. from Grand Valley State University (Political Science) and M.A.’s from Michigan State University (Student Affairs) and DePaul University (Women and Gender Studies). She is the current President of the DePaul Women’s Network and Co-Chair for Social Media Initiatives for the Women in Student Affairs (WISA) Knowledge Community for NASPA. She serves as the immediate Past President for the Great Lakes Association of College and University Housing Officers (GLACUHO). Ann Marie is a third year doctoral student and is working on her dissertation entitled “A High Heel in the Door: Challenges Women Face on the Road to the College Presidency.”
